As some of you may know, the last few weeks of summer for me was pretty hectic. I help around the house, cleaned, looked frantically for some work experience; I even had to shove my arms shoulder-deep inside bushes inhabited by questionable things to rescue an orphaned animal.
Me and my mom rescued that thing three times. It being a wild animal, it hated our guts for some time. Plus it was midnight and in the pouring rain and since it was only 2 days old it was a little traumatised.

So, when you (all those people who supposedly dedicated your lives on the care and rescue of animals both domestic and wild) give advice to my mom to do something with it to introduce it back to the wild; why the hell did you forget to mention that regarding the amount of predators and how *young* the creature is, that it is such a retarded idea?

Look, my mom was raised in a desert area. She doesn't know about how nature is except that neighborhood cats should be worried about regarding the safety of small fauna. So I am a little pissed off, now that it's too late, that you had ushered her off to go do that without barely a thought about it. And when we called to politely talk about that advice you just gave, despite that we've just been shaken and traumatized by something that happened in a span of barely 2 minutes (Which I'd really hate to talk about as it was violent and happened just a metre away from me when I was waist-high in river water, alone and thanking god I had my tetanus), you talk to us as if you hadn't even heard us. We wanted to say that PLEASE, disregard that advise this dude told you in case someone else with the same predicament came over and asked what to do with this animal...and then you ask me who I have an appointment with.

Not had. Have.

Seriously, I'm not a 'little upset' as you put it. I was shrieking and moaning in pure terror. Sure, it's normal in the wild but to see an animal you just raised, watched over and cuddled with for 2 and a half weeks suddenly get snatched--well, let's see if it doesn't make you scream your guts out.

So I'm really feeling--a bit angry and bitter--about having my mom patronized and told to do something which ultimately scarred her conscience, talking her down later at the phone and refusing to listen when I'm trying to tell you something.

So, now I'm going to have to write to the mayor about a decade-old GIANT FISH and getting rid of it as kids swim in the area and it looked like abut 45 lbs. People in *Lincolnshire* are capturing pike smaller than that simply to protect the rest of the wildlife, and as I told my dad about it, he freaked out at the fact that I tried to swim and rescue that wild juvie because people DROWN there and honestly, all it takes is someone to panic and lose control to do just that.
I'm not sayin' that the fish is teh evils as it's doing what's natural and it's obviously doing it because it's hungry; that thing's mouth was bigger than my two fists put together and even I am willing to help and relocate that freak. And that's coming from someone who just lost something very dear in its gullet.
